CENTRALBATAM.CO.ID, BINTAN –The beauty of Bintan’s Island province Riau Archipelago has attracted many athletics from whole the world to join a spectacular event, Ironman 70,3 that implemented today, 27th August 2016 in Lagoi Bay.
The Ironman 70,3 is one of world tourism-sport’s event are attended by 1,200 participants from 51 countries in the world. In additional, 200 ironkids from various countries include local kids (Indonesian) also race to this event.
The General Manager (GM) of Bintan Resorts Cakrawala (BRC), Abdul Wahab said the participants of this event more and more growth. Where, the participants increase 30 present from last year.
“Our participants today are 1.200 athletics plus 200 ironkids. This amount become increase 30 percents compared to last year event,” said Abdul Wahab at Press Conference with media in Bintan Resorts Plaza Lagoy on 27th August 2016.
Meanwhile, Courtney Ogden is one of the Iroman 703 participants from Australian said he’s joining this tourism-sport because he felt Bintan is really special. And if he doesn’t join feel like miss something.
“Oh, for me I am joining this event because Bintan is really special. The natural beauty, the citizens and others environment are great,” said man who was one the winner in Ironman last year.
Further he explained, before joining this event he never hear about Bintan. But once he come and join the race on 2015 he found something special about beauty of Bintan Natural. Cause of it, he and his wife come to Bintan more often.
“Before join this race, I never heard about Bintan. But after that, me and my wife come to Bintan more often,” he explained.
The Ministry of Tourism, Rizky Handayani in this case explained this event implemented to increase the visitors of Bintan. Because it’s, she added, the tourism ministry fully supports this event to jack up amount of tourist visitors in Bintan.
“This event has become and wrote in National Calendar event. Many athletics and tourist admit Bintan’s beauty. And our hope from this event is the visitors become increase from year to year,” Lid.
