CENTRALBATAM.CO.ID, JAKARTA –Demonstrations that took place in Manokwari, West Papua which caused the House of Representatives Building on fire criticized by a number of parties.
This was a protest from incidents of violence, expulsion and acts of racism against Papuan students in Malang and Surabaya, East Java on August 16, 2019.
Responding to this incident, Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives (DPRD), Fadli Zon asked the Indonesian Police to investigate deeply.
“There must be a deepening of the investigation, lest this information is unclear. It is better if we listen first, put the problem first like what and what solution wild take on it,” explained Fadli in the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Monday (8/19/2019) as reported by Tribun.
Further Fadli Zon requested that information related to the riots there no need to be exaggerated.
“Bbetter we give time to investigate about what really happened there. Then, and if for example found some mistakes, of course must be in accordance with applicable law,” lid. (*)
